Description

Antique Edwardian Set of Eight Mahogany Dining Chairs after Hepplewhite and dating from around 1900. Constructed fro. Quality mahogany. There are six chairs and two elbow chairs. Each chair having a moulded serpentine shaped top rail above a central vase shaped back splat leading to a stuff over seat above a serpentine shaped moulded skirt. They are raised on squared and reeded legs joined by a squared stretcher. The two elbow chairs are the same but with beautifully shaped shepherds crook armrests. The seat pads are of velvet in good condition.
EACH CHAIR MEASURES: 38” HIGH X 18.5” DEEP X 19” WIDE & SEAT HEIGHT 17”
THE TWO ELBOW CHAIRS MEASURE : 39” HIGH X 20” DEEP X 22.5” WIDE & SEAT HEIGHT 17”
With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
